Adriana Pires
has been teaching English as a Foreign Language in her school since March 2003.
She had previously studied in the same institution and had learned how to speak
English and French as well. Her students range in age from 14 to 22 years old.
On average, there are 20 students in her class. Adriana is an active teacher
and has worked with students from all levels in this school. Adriana received a
degree in English in 2004 from Universidade Catolica de Brasilia. Adriana is
single and she has lived in Aguas Claras for about two years. Her hobbies
include literature, cinema, photography, and dancing.
Lisa
Caswell
Lisa Caswell has taught Mathematics and Technology
Education to middle school students, ages 11-14, for the past eighteen
years. She currently teaches at Perrysburg Junior High School, in
Perrysburg, Ohio. Perrysburg is a suburban, progressive city with a population
approaching 20,000. The district has earned the rating “Excellent with
Distinction” on the Ohio Local Report Card for the past 12 years. Lisa
received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bowling Green
State University in 1996 and her Master’s degree in Classroom Technology in
2007, also from Bowling Green State University. Lisa provides
technology training and support to teachers throughout the district. She is
married and has three children. Her hobbies include running, bike riding and
water sports with her family. Lisa’s main objective for participating
in TGC is to learn how to increase her middle school students’ cultural
awareness and understanding.
